Free Business Listing for IT Companies
List your IT company on Trusted IT Firms at no cost, get approved by an editor and receive enquiries from clients who search by technology and location.
A free business listing on Trusted IT Firms gives your IT company a full public profile in a directory built for people who buy software, web, app, design and marketing services. You do not pay to create the listing, you do not pay to appear in search results, and you do not pay a commission on the work you win. You create an account, fill in your profile, and an editor reviews it before it goes live. Clients then find you by technology, location, hourly rate and rating, and contact you directly from your profile.
At the time of writing, 435 companies are listed on Trusted IT Firms, from small studios with fewer than 10 people to firms with several hundred staff. This page explains what the free listing includes, how approval works and how to turn a basic profile into one that clients shortlist.
What a free business listing includes
Every approved company gets the same profile features. Nothing on this list is locked behind a paid plan:
- A profile page at its own address, with your logo, banner image, tagline and a description of what you do and who you do it for.
- Services and technologies, each linked to the matching directory page. If you select WordPress, clients browsing WordPress development companies can find you there.
- Location details: country, state, city, street address and a map pin, so you also appear on location pages such as IT companies in India or IT companies in the United States.
- Business details: team size, hourly rate band, minimum project size and founding year. Buyers use these as filters.
- People and proof: founders and team members, past projects, working hours and links to your social profiles.
- A contact form. Enquiries from clients are sent to your company email address.
- Client reviews, checked by the Trusted IT Firms team before they appear.
- Eligibility for badges such as Top 10, Top Rated and Verified, which editors award.
Who can list a company
Any genuine business that provides IT or technology services can apply. That includes software development companies, web and mobile app developers, UI and UX designers, digital marketing agencies, hosting providers, IT consultants and managed IT service providers. The directory groups companies into nine categories: IT Services, Web & Mobile Development, Business Services, Software Development, Marketing, Business Consultants, Design & Production, Lead Generation and Hosting. The largest is IT Services, with 242 companies.
Independent professionals who trade as a business can list too, as long as the profile describes a real company with a working website and contact details. One account can manage up to 20 listings, which suits groups that run separate brands or regional offices.
How to get listed in four steps
- Create your account. Start on the register your company page, create your login and confirm your email address. Email confirmation is required before a listing can be submitted for review.
- Complete the step-by-step form. It covers the basics, contact details, location, services, team, projects, social profiles and images. You can save a draft at any time and come back later.
- Submit for review. An editor checks that the company is real and that the details make sense. New listings are usually reviewed within two business days.
- Go live. Once approved, your profile appears in search results and on every technology, category and location page that matches what you selected.
Basic profile or complete profile: what changes
A listing can be approved with the essentials, but complete profiles do better because they answer the questions clients ask before they make contact. Here is how the two compare:
| Profile area | Basic listing | Complete listing |
|---|---|---|
| Description | A few lines | 600 characters or more on what you build, for whom and how you work |
| Images | Logo only | Square logo plus a 1350 x 350 banner |
| Services | One or two | Six or more services and technologies you really deliver |
| Business details | Missing | Team size, hourly rate, minimum project size, founding year |
| Proof of work | None | Three or more past projects and named founders |
| Reviews | None | Several moderated reviews from real clients |
Each of these areas feeds your profile score, a number from 1 to 100 shown on your listing. Your dashboard shows the score with a checklist of what to add next.
How clients find your listing
Clients search the company directory by keyword and narrow results with filters for technology, category, industry, country, state, hourly rate, minimum project size, team size and rating. Many also arrive from search engines on landing pages for a single technology, category or location, and on combined pages such as WordPress companies in India. Your listing appears on every page that matches the services and location you chose.
That is why accuracy matters. Pick the services you actually deliver rather than ticking every box. A focused profile matches the right searches, and a client who contacts you from a relevant page is more likely to become a project.
How free listings are ordered
Every company is ordered by the same rules. First comes the editor rank, which the Trusted IT Firms team sets. Next come companies in an active featured period. After that, companies are sorted by profile score, and finally by how recently they were published. The profile score comes from profile completeness, client reviews, how recently the profile was updated and verification. In practice, this means a small company with a complete, well-reviewed and up-to-date profile can appear above a larger company with a thin one.
Tips to get more enquiries from your listing
- Write your description for buyers, not search engines. Say which industries you serve, typical project types and how you run projects.
- Add at least three past projects with a short explanation of the problem and what you built.
- Ask past clients to review you on your profile. Each person can leave one review per company, using their own email address.
- Update your profile at least every six months. Freshness counts towards your score.
- Add the Trusted IT Firms badge to your website and request verification from your dashboard to earn the blue check.
- Reply to enquiries quickly. Clients often contact several companies at once.
What is not allowed
To keep the directory useful for clients, editors reject or remove listings that break these rules:
- Companies that do not exist, or profiles copied from another business.
- Company names stuffed with keywords or locations.
- Reviews written by staff, friends or paid reviewers.
- Services or locations the company does not actually offer.
If you change the company name or website on a published listing, it is hidden until an editor approves the change. Ordinary text edits stay live.
